Sussex angler Steve Smith stumbled on a little gem whilst flounder fishing this week.

Finding bites hard to come by Steve decided to improvise, and make use of anything he had lying around to entice a bite.

That's when he tried using the plastic hanger from a pack of our rubber stops resulting in 3 fish in the next 3 casts to save a blank!

Just goes to show, when bites are hard to come by, having a good imagination, the courage to try things and the ability to make use of things you have around you can often save a blank.
